VSBA ELC BUNDLE 3 - Site C - Wyndham Park Primary School, Werribee

VSBA ELC Bundle 3 comprised four education facilities: Kings Park Primary School, Harrisfield Primary School, Wyndham Park Primary School, and McClelland Secondary College. ABS Painting was engaged to deliver the complete painting scope across all four schools within the bundle.

Each project carried specific social procurement objectives, with a strong focus on supporting and empowering First Nations and Indigenous Australian communities. These values were reflected in the built environment through culturally informed design elements, including Indigenous artwork and thoughtfully developed external colour schemes. ABS Painting applied a range of specialised protective coating systems across external areas such as playgrounds and communal spaces to bring these elements to life.

In alignment with social procurement commitments, ABS Painting sourced paint products from Indigenous-owned Australian suppliers and manufacturers, including Jiga Jiga Paint, Muru, Gawun Supplies, and others, ensuring meaningful participation and contribution throughout the project lifecycle.

Comprehensive Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) were developed and implemented for all painting works, ensuring quality assurance, compliance, and consistency across the entire bundle. Drawing on nearly two decades of industry experience, ABS Painting proactively identified, managed, and resolved project challenges to maintain program and quality outcomes.

Throughout delivery, ABS Painting worked collaboratively with builders and all on-site trades, maintaining a strong focus on coordination and communication. Close collaboration with joiners, plasterers, flooring contractors, caulkers, and other finishing trades ensured seamless integration of finishes and a smooth, high-quality handover.

The internal environments featured a variety of complex textures and architectural finishes, all completed to a premium standard. These included timber half-dowel wall features and profiled internal cladding across common areas. A wide range of painting techniques — including cutting, rolling, back-rolling, spraying, staining, and trowelling — were expertly executed to achieve consistent, flawless results across all facilities.
